Publication One: Fanzine Factory

We were split into groups for a workshop in which we would collaborate to create our first publication, ‘fanzine factory.’ Using a variety of different materials and equipment to collage with the aim was to create a publication for each member of the group.

We all began with our own separate, blank publications. We first collaged one page, then passed the booklets to our left, letting the other people in the group collage another page of the book, until the books were full. We used collage materials and things such as Letraset to create these publications. 

After all our groups publications had been completed, we then had to choose the best publication to move forward with and refine. We decided to combine our favourite pages from each of our publication into our final booklet, which we then needed to replicate so each member of the group had a copy.
