Katie Barrett

Katie Barrett is a designer who has reached out previously to offer help on any potential collaboration projects and Is a really talented designer. Her work on SOBA is a perfect example of the experimentation with typography variation, hierarchy and imagery heavy design I want to try and experiment with in my own work. The work jumps put to the reader with a muted yet unusual colour palette that works with the striking neon imagery. The type body text is scaled down to force the viewer to interact with the poster, having to come up close and read it rather than stroll past and ignore it. The branding is simple and clean and definitely something I aim to try and incorporate into my own work.
