As we discussed the project more both me and josh wanted to create a brand that was consistent across all applications. One of the main ways we wanted to do this is by using a consistent set of brand guidelines across both of our work. We both agreed that one of the best things for consistent branding across our work would be a grid system that would work across various applications. I set about researching more into grid systems by looking at the Grid Systems of Joseph Muller Brockmann.
I wanted to look at his modular grids for inspiration as his work that use these have a clear, consistent style throughout. His modular grid system rules incorporate both a modular grid and gutter system that gives adequate spacing across all content on the piece both vertically and horizontally.
Having a clear grid system through our brand would allow us to experiment with other consistencies such as type and colour and still produce a body work that is consistent and concise.
