Josh has used the brand guidelines we agreed upon to design the website for the exhibition. The website uses the guidelines exactly to establish a clear hierarchy across the site and used the same design rules used across other application to communicate the same ideas. The website uses the neutral grey we originally decided on implementing.
At this stage of the development we also decided on the implementation of a logomark in the form of an arrow. After both going over the proposition we both thought that the use of directional arrows was represented the exhibition and its ideas, with the arrow being able to communicate these ideas subtly across all application. When we decided on the the word submission we thought of the idea of uploading something and the up arrow is a perfect visual representation of this. The arrow is versatile and can easily be incorporated across all other applications of the brand.
Josh also experimented with the colour i'd implemented across the posters designs to the website designs but after meeting to discuss the idea between the two us we agreed that although the variation in colour ways worked across the poster designs they didnt work well across the website design. We both agreed the original grey worked best across the website design.
Josh then Proceeded to produce and animated version of the site that demonstrates the drop down and various sections of the site.
