The display pieces were a mix of singular work displays, 3 work displays and poster displays that would be placed in the flow of the floor plan to match the reel of a cassette tapes. I wanted the display pieces to allow the works to be viewed from all angles to compliment the free flowing nature of the floor plan, to allow the space to feel larger and less compact and to allow the lighting to fill the room as much as possible.

Display Pieces for Exhibition: Studio Brief 2
As well as the floor plan it was my job to design the display pieces that would hold the work. I wanted to be able to display the piece’s different ways and that’s what I set out to achieve with these designs. I wanted to communicate the DIY, mechanical and often the natural nature of music, by integrating materials such as wood plastics and metals into each display piece.
