Brewster Bye Architects

I decided to also look to local architectural firms for an idea on how local but larger firms communicate their work/brand, I looked at Brewster Bye Architects.

Their website is simple and clearly showcases third large portfolio or varying styles. I like that the company showcases their completed and proposed projects as oppose to all their finished articles. The logotype is a type based logo and while being simple also feels cluttered with the poor use of lower and uppercase type and varying weights. The logo design is lazy and is poorly aligned. The monogram accompanying the logotype is confusing and doesn’t anything to brand. It does not add to the branding and believe the brand would not be recognisable from the monogram alone. This is a great example of how I want to create a clear consistent brand that despite being a much smaller scale, is more professional than something such as this.
