Gensler’s brand is simple, minimal and modern. The company uses a type based logo which is present on all applications and is instantly recognisable. They use a simple black, white, red and orange colour palette across their website with the red logotype prominent across most applications. The company boast a huge portfolio in a large number of fields from aviation and airport design to something closer to home with brand design. The wide variety of services Gensler offer is an example of an architectural firm that doesn’t necessarily specialise in one style of design, however the visual identity of the brand needs to be consistent and clearly represented across all platforms. The brands own visual identity doesn’t take away from their work, it’s simple and quiet and lets their portfolio do the talking. I want to take the idea of simplicity and implement that into my own work. I want the brand to be sleek, stylish and simple, I want to strip back the branding and allow the portfolio to do the talking in terms of the quality of the work company does while still giving the company a consistent modern visual identity.

Gensler
I looked at some of the largest architecture firms in the world and focused on Gensler, the joint highest architectural firm in the world in terms of income and number of employees.
